In 1864, Anthony Riubò enrolled as a doctor aboard the brigantine «Verge de Montserrat», a commercial boat that travels between Barcelona and the Americas, passing through the continent of Africa. When he arrives in Sierra Leone, the young doctor learns that the boat is being sailed by a slave trafficker who takes advantage of the crossing to bring hundreds of Africans to America and sell them to plantations. Shocked by his discovery, the doctor comes up with several ways to try to sabotage the slavers’ plans.
