Spicy Olives

Maria Encarnació is sixty-five years old, runs an olive and fish stand in the market and is waiting for a man to make her feel as though she were twenty-five again. Rut, twenty-nine, is waiting for someone to lose her virginity with while she vegetates in the downstairs fl at she shares with
her parents. And the man Muriel is waiting for, while she smokes compulsively in the dining room of her house, has what it takes to save the life of her son; that which no machine can manufacture.
